Get Out There and Play

This program uses the excitement of major league sports to help middle school students add more physical activity to their lives. By leveraging its sponsorships of Major League Baseball, the National Football League and Major League Soccer, Pepsi-Cola is able to offer middle school PE teachers skills kits that inspire kids to Get Out There & Play! Here's how the program works:

• PE teachers contact their local Pepsi bottler to sign up for a youth competition kit, which is delivered during the appropriate season.
• Pitch, Hit and Run (MLB); Punt, Pass and Kick (NFL); and Dribble, Pass and Score (MLS) clinics are held in school.
• High-scoring students have the chance to advance to sectional or national levels.
• Each kit includes a poster with activity lessons, reproducible student hand-outs and professional athlete profiles developed in conjunction with Sports Illustrated Kids.®
